A significant upgrade in the Roadster's production came in September 1948 when the 2088 cc Vanguard engine, transmission, and rear axle were fitted. This version of the Roadster was given the model designation 20TR. On test the changes resulted in the top speed increasing marginally to 77 mph (124 km/h) but the 0-60 mph time was much better at 27.9 seconds. Only 2000 of the larger-engined version were ever made. The vehicle comes with a spare wheel. The odometer shows 96.080 miles (154.626 km). The Swiss Veteran vehicle registration has been renewed on April 13, 2017. Technical condition: Right hand drive vehicle in good mechanical condition, the engine has been overhauled. New brake drums have been installed on the vehicle. No signs of rust or oil leaks. The car comes with many valuable spare parts: replacement gearbox, 4 wheels, steering gear, gear lever frame, alternator, brake shoes, brake booster, stainless steel exhaust, new aluminium tank and various other small parts. Visual condition: The body of the car has been restored. The paint and chrome plated parts are in good condition. The interior is mostly original, but with some work could be made better. A very nice feature of the vehicle are the rumble/dicky seats, that can be folded into the rear when unnecessary. A top spec 1948 Triumph roadster with nice to have features like the soft-top and fold-away seats, that comes with a wealth of spare parts.
